Day 6 – A people who may ascend the Hill of the Lord
Psalm 24
The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.
- Declare the Lord’s reign over all things and people
- Proclaim His Kingdom coming down over our church and valley
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place?
- Thank God for and bless the high place of God where His presence and glory dwell
- Cry out that we would be that people who have access
- Ask for the knowledge, revelation and wisdom of God to gain the keys
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood
And has not sworn deceitfully.
And has not sworn deceitfully.
- Agree with God in what He is looking for in His people
- Ask Holy Spirit for revelation in each of these things mentioned
5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah.
- Declare your desire to seek Him and be in that generation, that people, who see the face of God
- Tell God how much you want His blessing and righteousness in your life and in our church
7 Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in!
8 Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in!
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.
Selah.
- Worship the King of Glory and welcome Him in our midst and in our valley
- Speak to the gates and doors of access to open
- Ask God for angels to war over the doors and to displace false rulers and satan’s kingdom
- Declare God’s right to reign over this place, in every home and church, etc.
2 Corinthians 6:14 – 7:1
14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols?
- Confess any partnership/alliance with what is not of God
- Ask God to give us a deeper revelation of His views of these things
- Profess your desire for complete union with God and His Kingdom
For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,
“I will dwell in them and walk among them;
And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
17 “Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.
“And do not touch what is unclean;
And I will welcome you.
18 “And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty.
And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
17 “Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.
“And do not touch what is unclean;
And I will welcome you.
18 “And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty.
- Thank God for His promises to be our God and Father
- Ask Holy Spirit to show us where we need to come out and separate
- Ask God for His sanctifying work in your life and our church
7 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
- Acknowledge the conditions that God has placed on how much of Him we can have
- Confess the need to cleanse ourselves and our responsibility to do so
- Repent of any defiling of flesh and spirit, our temple
- Cry out for God’s holiness to be perfected in us
- Ask for the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord to rule over our hearts
2 Corinthians 11:2-3
For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin. 3 But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
- Consecrate yourself to be a pure virginal bride with pure devotion to Jesus
Psalm 51:7,10
Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
- Thank God for the blood of Jesus that washes us from all sin
- Ask God to change our hearts and spirits
Ephesians 4:17-24
17 So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20 But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
- Dedicate yourself to walk in the new family likeness of Jesus and lay aside those things driven by sensuality, greed and deception
Ephesians 5:1-12
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; 2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
3 But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; 4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light 9 (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10 trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; 12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
- Dedicate yourself to fully imitate God in all manner of life, walking in love, as a sacrifice to God
- Determine that all immorality and impurity will not be seen or heard in your life
- Declare yourself to be a child of light, full of goodness and truth and righteousness
Matthew 6:33
33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
- Give your heart to the Kingdom and living in His righteousness
- Thank God for all that is coming in 2016 that He will supply
